Site Specificity is an installation centered around challenging and experimenting upon the concept of site specific artwork. The installation is a hand cut and painted eight foot wide by four foot tall dome, created as canvas for an immersive projected video. The dome itself serves as a site specific artwork, but instead of being created to be viewed within a given space, it is meant to be entered, offering the viewer a unique experience through leaving the specified site. Within the dome, the abstract video was coded to react to sound, allowing the viewer to be immersed in an experience created through the subtle sounds they make, transporting them from the initial room to a place created completely by them.
