This installation serves as an analysis of self enacted through a blend between abstraction, realism and a material process of the figure-space relationship. Each wall within the installation serves an individual purpose in highlighting my analytic journey in understanding my identity, mind, and the ways in which I process a single moment. Each abstract form is a representation of myself, a scatter of who I see myself as, changing with every new environment and person around me. The first two walls seek completion and individualism within a community, one wall through rapidity and change, the other through a developed relationship of place. The last two walls are an exhibition of education and creation, highlighting my growth and serving as a place of exploration. The third wall is a showcase of the figure-space relationship, a test of figuration and a place for me to develop and capture the figure within an environment. The final wall is my exploration of abstraction, a canvas to explore materiality and my processes of creation. Each wall curates a picture of my life, each one a picture into a sector of the way I produce. The last two walls create the first two, exhibiting a picture of who I am through what I’ve learned and what I’ve made.
